
(Pandanus amaryllifolius) Erect branched small tree. The trunk bearing many prop roots. Leaves are spirally crowded toward the ends of branches, linear lanceolate, slenderly long-acuminale, the midribs armed with sharp spring teeth pointing toward the apex of the leaf. The male inflorescence is fragrant. Fruits is pendulous, angular,fibrous and fleshy, narrow below and truncate at the apex.
Benifits: As deuretic; take decoction of fresh or dried prop root as tea For headache, arthritis and stomach spasm: poultice of fresh leaves mixed with oils also used for headaches. Wound healing: Pulverized dried leaves used to facilitate wound healing; Decoction of roots believed to have aphrodisiac and cardiotonic properties; Also used to prevent spontaneous abortion, thus stenghten the uterus.
