
(Croton tiglium Linn) An erect or spreading shrub or very small tree. Leaves are ovate alteranteusually somewhat rounded at the base. Flowers are small, and born terminal inflorescence. Fruits capsules, ellipsoid contains a single seed. Seeds ovoid or oblong, dark brown or blackish, thin and brittle and of faint odor. it has a pungent taste.
Benifits: Aids in gastrointestinal disorders and inflammatory. For rheumatic pains of the legs and waist, pound leaves and apply as poultice. Pounded leaves maybe applied as poultice of insect bites and even snake bites For sprains and bone pains; oiled leaves are heated and applied to painful areas.
